What a great hike! The views along the way are just stunning. Because of the gusting winds getting up to 50mph, we were not able to do the complete hike along the top of the ridge. This however did not affect the quality of this 3 hour hike.
Starting out on a nice soft grassy path, it soon turned into single track leading through the hills. The gradient of the hike is not too steep and the breath taking views along the way make this hike a great stroll. There are a few lochans that you pass by as you continue to climb higher. Looking back over the ocean, it is nice to just stop and soak in the scenery. The trail continues to lead through some rocks and green hills, climbing higher.
I couldn’t believe the scenery along the way. With great weather and blue skies, it made this hike. The wind would come howling through, sometimes catching you off guard. Reaching the highest point of the hike without climbing to the top of the ridge, it was nice to take a short break. Somehow the weather held out and no rain came until the very end of the hike. Being able to watch the clouds fly by overhead, I was glad we weren’t on the exposed ridge overhead. The scenery and views on this hike has been one of my favorites.
Another WOW your way! Just want to know if you were able to hold that rock solid handstand in the 5omph wind???
